A Sign of Normality

Went to the car show yesterday at Castle in he Clouds and it was wonderful.
Approximately 100 beautiful antique, classic, performance and collector cars and the place was packed.
1/2 hour line up the mountain to get in but well worth the wait.
So nice to see people out and enjoying themselves again although everyone seemed to be cautious with masks and distancing.
Catered by Rubbin' Butts and Harts and the Castle staff did a great job keeping order with large numbers of spectators

Sounds awesome. All it takes is reasonable steps to keep people safe.

What were some of the cooler cars? Must've been a gorgeous day out there.

The family and I went to the North Conway craft fair yesterday and experienced the same thing. Very crowded, beautiful weather. Many masked up as ask by individual businesses.

We went to Conway also, came back on the Kancamagus and that was a big mistake. The traffic was really bad!

43:13-minute you tube video, Saturday, October 3 2020 - THE CAR SHOW at Castle-in-the-Clouds:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6kVk9qJ8is

Video so incredibly good, is better than being there what with no mask or social distancing needed to watch it! ..... ;)

" ...... this is unbelievable! These guys don't know how long a wait they have!" ..... from last 30-seconds, as narrator exits down Castle Road .... ha-ha-ha!

Thanks for posting the video. It is on my list of shows to get to. My car has had no engine for the last 4 years (a number of different excuses).
If I remember correctly, that show used to be a "classic/antique" show only in the past. Am I correct or thinking of a different show? Or did that change for this year/last couple of years?

Franconia Notch

Attended a beautiful wedding at Moore Dam yesterday. The water is very low in the reservoir.
The travel North as well as South was busy through the Notch.
5 C-130 flew in formation through the notch! It was quite a sight! Those flyboys sure know how to have fun!
Sould have taken the road to Rumney to avoid the 93 mayhem. People were driving crazy, weaving in and out of lanes. Fortunately I only saw one accident in the opposite side of 93.

Autumn

We spent the weekend leaf-peeping in the Catskill Mtns. Felt great to be out and about sampling the spectacular vistas and the local breweries. A fair amount of people out but not the crowds from previous years. Great weather for outdoor dining/drinking! Masks pretty much everywhere. Fantastic weekend!

My wife and I attempted to go up to Castle in the Clouds on Saturday but after waiting 15 minutes in traffic, we decided to change plans. Instead we stopped at Chocorua Park in Tamworth and had lunch at the base of that beautiful dam. Not too many people stop at that park, so it was nice and relaxing.

I think that those same planes flew over the east side of the lake yesterday. 🐻
