Beautiful Weather

Anyone else feel a bit odd today stacking wood, packing up the yard, and preparing the snowblower for the arrival of winter

I'm thankful for the nice stretch of weather to get everything prepared for winter without freezing my ars off! :coolsm:

Yes. Hanging Christmas lights outside yesterday was a bit surreal. We will wait to turn them on but had to take advantage of the mid 70’s.

I have postponed installing chains on my tractor with this Indian Summer happening. I know it won’t last but at least I have a garage and a heater to put them on in the cold...

Spent yesterday doing the final raking and mowing of the year, and putting all the outside furniture under the house...wearing a t shirt in November...felt kinda crazy!

One More Trip!

It was such a great weekend we just had to make another trip to the island camp on Saturday! We had lunch on the deck with island neighbors and it seemed like we had the entire lake to ourselves. Our neighbors actually went for a quick “exhilarating” swim!! Water temp was 53 degrees!!

It was a great day to be out!

I did see quite a few boats go by on Sunday...I think they were making fun of me for doing yard work...

There is something strange about doing the final yard work and leaves in short and a tee shirt....and sweating while doing it!!

On Tuesday Nov 3 the town and big orange state snowplows were out plowing and salting the newly fallen snow on Rt-49 and local roads in Waterville Valley, and the valley was totally covered with something like 1-3". Ten miles south in Campton, there was no snow at all. Is a 35-mile drive up Rt 175-Holderness from the big Meredith intersection.

Snow, snow, snow ........ s'now where's the snow go?
