Do any of you know of a snowmobile rental business around the lakes region during the winter months?

There are none in the lakes region. Closest is Bartlett that I am aware of on their closed trail system. Nice place to ride and you can't get lost. They take good care of those trails and it is good for beginners and others.

Sled ventures in Lincoln across from the water park are all guided tours through Franconia notch.

Bear rock adventures in Pittsburg does not do guided tours and has plenty of sleds to rent.

There are no companies in this area that rent
