Best Butcher?

Bought a new smoker and hope to find a butcher where I can get select cuts like brisket, uncooked kielbasa, etc. Who has a butcher they love? Anyone ever order special cuts from EM Heath with success?

I have a friend who does competitive BBQ. He has worked with Willie Jewel on Nashua for special order brisket.

Sam’s in Concord

Sam’s club in Concord is awesome. Last weekend we got a 18 lb prime rib roast there. They trimmed it up beautifully and tied it for rotisserie cooking for us. It was fantastic. You can get choice and prime meats there! We have never had a bad steak and their burger is second to none!

Miles Smith Farm in Loudon is AMAZING beef. I buy a 1/4 cow from there and smoke and grill all their stuff.
Or McKinnon's in Salem.

We love Top of the Hill Farm in Wolfeboro- 7 miles from Wolfeboro Inn, 3 miles from the 7-11 blinker light on 109.

It's a gorgeous 98 acre farm where you can see the cows, gorgeous views, purchase great produce and flowers, and phenomenal pasture raised beef, chickens, and pork.

I've cooked whole filet mignon for 30 years, and never had better than theirs, their steaks are all amazing, and the chickens are fabulous.

They are a hard-working farming family that are very friendly and appreciate their customers.

Not a Butcher shop but, I buy FRESH Kielbasa 95% of the time at Market Basket in Tilton ! Shaws would sometimes carry it around the Easter season but it was Hit or Miss. I find it pretty regular at Market Basket in Tilton. They did have a bit of an outage for a spell but within a a week of me speaking to meat a personnel ( don't know if they qualify as a *Butcher*,) but on my last two visits they had both ropes and a 10 pack of short links. Like the normal sized Italian sausages, which in `my` mind would be super for smoking. I Hope this helps and I wouldn't mind if you offered me some, if you use theirs. PLS & TH Y Market basket has always brought in a product that I requested. BTW if you have any interest MB Tilton carries Frozen Australian Goat Meat. I ahve not tried it, YET

I love goat meat. Leaner than chicken and more nutritious. Makes a great curry.

Thanks.

I second Miles Smith Farm in Loudon.

Coming up 93 from south of the border? Mckinnon Super Butcher Shop in Salem NH can't be beat!

The Hungry Buffalo in Chichester is another gem!

Miles Smith

We have bought a lot of meat from Miles Smith Farm in the past. They would deliver to our home in Gilford once a week. Yes their meats are very good but they are very expensive. A Porterhouse steak will run you $31.00 per lb and their hamburger averages $11.00 per lb. It was getting hard to justify the added expense when I could go right down the road to Sam's and buy 90% prime rib ground beef for $4.98 lb and USDA prime cuts of NY Strip or ribeye for $15.00 per lb. Yes I get "buy local" which I did and still do but there comes a point where I simply cant justify the added cost...

I recently discovered Birch Rise Farm in Sanbornton. Their beef and pork are excellent and very reasonably priced. They also raise their own chickens and turkeys. They are open Saturday's from 10:00 to 2:00, and they also do a couple of farmer's markets in the area.
