Carpet Disaster

You all have become my go to problem solvers once again. Problem: large mug of coffee knocked off counter onto light colored carpet. We thought Zep would do the job, and it’s still very noticeable. Instead of causing bodily injury to the offender, does anyone have a professional carpet cleaning service that will return this poor carpet close to its original condition? We are in Moultonborough. TIA.

Have you tried Spot Shot carpet cleaner? We use it all the time and it works great!

I have used King of Kleen in Laconia (believe that’s the name). For a few wall to wall areas I still have. On time and budget friendly

King of Klean rocks. We have been using them since they started in business 15 yrs or so ago. They are not only great for wall-to-wall carpet, but they also have the skills to clean expensive orientals from the old country. Highly recommend them.

Green Machine

My wife uses one of those little Bissel Green Machines. The thing works great and we have yet to have something stain that it couldn’t take out. I think they are around $120.00 so not really that much and probably cheaper than hiring someone and you get to use it again on your next spill…

SoilBlaster

I have ForceField SoilBlaster

Works on everything. You will never know anything happened.

I also have a Bissel carpet shampooer. Once when my diabetic dog relieved pure blood on a wool carpet i used it with Bissel shampoo. Completely picked up all the blood.
Wishing you the best

Yup! We have one as well! Works great for non-sloppy households…😛

Thank you all for your useful comments. I think we will try the “no fail carpet self-cleaning remedies”, followed by the professionals if nothing works. Your help is appreciated. Zep, by the way, has always worked in the past, but not this time. Again, thank you.

I use Oxyclean, I had some old stains in a carpet that I thought wouldn't come out, Oxyclean took them out!
My dog peed on the couch, Oxyclean took out the stain.

Final chapter on the topic

Carbona Oxy powered Carpet Cleaner seems to have worked pretty well. I think one more quick session might do it. We wanted to get something done without waiting for shipping, and we were able to pick this up at Bradley’s in Wolfeboro. The carpet was a miserable mess, and now you almost can’t tell there was a problem. So…there’s another solution for a carpet mess. Thanks again to those who offered suggestions.

I have had a few carpet disasters to include spaghetti sauce and paint (don't tell my wife).

The thing that helped me most was a wet vac.

What ever potions I used, lots of water and the wet vac allowed me to get away with it.
