Junk removal service recommendation

I have an old stove that needs to be removed. It's a double wide and somewhat awkward and heavy. It should fit through doors OK and it needs to go up 3 steps to get to an outside door. I'm looking for a junk service to pick it up.

A moving company might be a better option

Be careful of all the scam adds on the NH Fakebook pages, if you're on there. There are tons of them for junk removal and air duct cleaning.

Stove?

Electric, gas, or woodstove?

In the Washington, DC area, there are firms who advertise "home cleanouts".

Maybe they're designed for removing everything upon a purchase of a used home. But to make such a business pay off, I'd expect some articles are sold and the rest go to the dump.

Fakebook may offer something like that locally, and they'd willingly cart off something else of "no value" to the homeowner.

:look:

That's why I am asking here, to see if someone has a reliable recommendation. :D

Unless it's a really difficult removal or disposal, this actually sounds like a local-with-a-trailer job.

I post this service on my locals Facebook page once in a while and charge $50-$60 plus whatever transfer station fees there are.

With my 6x10 trailer, I've taken people's treadmills, refrigerators, air conditioners, couches/sofas/furniture, stoves, washers/dryers, etc.

For heavy stuff, I bring my teenage son and charge a few bucks more for him.

Drew Morin

Drew Morin in Meredith...does junk and debris removal. I used him and he was reliable and inexpensive. 603-393-9269

Two others I've used are Starkey out of Rochester and Derek Purpura of Purmore Junk Removal.

(Yes, I've had a lot of junk over the years )

Junk removal

"Junk" removal brings to mind the following treatise:

Lessons to be learned about "what you have"...

When you invite friends over
You find out how little you have,
When you move,
You find out how much you have,
When you have a 'Yard Sale',
You find out how little it is worth,
When you don't 'have' it anymore
You find out it is the one thing you really need.

I am not going to point fingers at anybody but myself, and I can humbly say, I fit the above description.
