Montway

My company has used Montway Auto Transport a few times to have vehicles shipped from Maryland to NH. (They are Nation wide) They did a great job and were fair in their pricing…

Good luck!

You might try JCN shuttle in Wolfeboro.

In recent years I have paid about $1,200 for shipping to the same area. Don't forget to take your toll transponder out of the car so it doesn't hit every time the car hauler goes through a toll plaza.

I have used Gilberto several times: 508-371-8066. He has a lot of friends who are in the business so when he can't take your car he will have someone else do it.

I stay away from the brokers. They quote a low price and take a deposit so you are locked in with them. Then they post your transport on the National Load Board. When no one takes your job because of the low price they will call you and tell you that you need to pay a higher amount if you want the job done.

college kids...

Another good way of doing this is to post an ad (physically/electronic bulletin board) or pass the word on a college campus. Works well ahead of a holiday (like Thanksgiving) where the student wants to go home. They save on train/bus/plane fare, so you give him/her a few bucks for doing that and everyone wins... Way less than $1K+ for sure... I had a UNH kid run a car down to the west coast of FL that way...

I can tell you who NOT to use…

Stay away from these people:

I had my truck shipped back from Florida to Gilford a few years ago. It arrived in Gilford with the windows open and the interior full of water. I still have the truck and it still smells musty. I took pictures of everything and contacted the owner of the company who denied everything and gave me the proverbial middle finger.

Also cover your license plate. We took our transponder out and still got the charges because they read our plate.

There is a waiter at Squam Inn and Kitchen who has been doing this for years. His name is Steve... call the restaurant to get his contact information

Insurance

Some auto policies may not cover you if you hire a “college kid” to drive your car to FL.
