Water Temp - Depressing

Sigh! :( With the current weather condtions, the water temperature will drop below 70 degrees today, if it hasn't already. Looks like the lowest late August reading since the records started on this site.

What a change in the last 3 weeks! Looks like it's time to get the wetsuit out again.

NO!!

Quick, if we all get in the lake right now the body heat will bring up the temperature!

I thought it was really nice over the past week. Kinda nice to have it somewhat less than bathtub-warm in late August. Also helps keep the dreaded "Lake Snot" down.

Your mileage may vary... ;)

Grant,

Agreed. 75 is nice. 65 is another story!

Actually, when the air temp. is only 61, 71 degree water doesn't feel too bad!

Here's what 53-54 degrees do to you (yours truly, May '04)...

A few dozen women in my "age group" ought to be able to raise the temp a few degrees if the timing were just right!

Why do you think the very excellent Babes On Sleds have to coordinate when they use the lake? We're soHOT that if we were all to hit the water at the same time, there would be nothing left to this lake but a hole in the ground and lots of rocks!!!

Dude, I'm right over the river in Bucks County, and can certainly comiserate.

Haven't seen the sun since returning from the Lake Saturday night.

How appropriate.
