Home Security Systems
I couldn't find a previous thread on home security systems . . . My house was broken into last year and the police suggested that I get a security system. Does anyone have any opinions, pro or con, on the firms that provide home security systems in the Lakes Region?

A Plus Alarm
We have a contract for monitoring and maintenance with A Plus Alarms in Meredith. We are very happy with them. They are very professional, are on time for maintenance appointments and have a fair price for their services. The alarm system was already installed when we purchased the place a few years ago so I have no first hand experience regarding their installations.
There is a link to their web site on the Meredith section of the Community Pages here on this web site. Good luck! R2B |

We used lakeside Security in Ossipee. They installed a pretty cool system for what I thought was a fair price. It is totally silent and monitored 24/7.It is
backed up by a cell phone on a battery pack so even if the bad guys cut your power and phone lines, the alarm goes out directly to the police and also a neighbor (if you choose) and yourself. An audible alarm scares them away but the damage is already done and if you're in a remote area they can easily make an escape. With the silent alarm they have no clue that anyone is on to them....until they're in cuffs. |
Alarm Systems
We have had A+ Alarms for 16 years and have been very pleased with them . Price is very raesonable, service is excellent, and a local company that responds to any problem quickly and does a great maintenance program. Doc

The Very Best Alarm System
The very best system is Neighbors! Let them know when you'll be away and they'll watch your property like a hawk.

Remember that all alarm sensors have a limited useful life. If you can have the company service the sensors to keep them clean and replace them I believe it is every 5 years.
