Earthquake

Did anyone feel the earthquake that happened before noon on 03/21/2007? We felt it here on Sheridan Road in Moultonborough. Here is the link.

We felt it in New Boston, NH.

Felt it on Black Cat Island

Is that what it was?

I thought it was part of the construction 2 doors down. Been having a lot of those kinds of rumbles and movements last 2 years. Finally, one that's actually NATURAL!

New non-view property

Gee, maybe property valuations could change if the lake drains into crevices and some "VIEW" homes no longer considered "view properties" or even "Lakefront" properties!

Ask someone who lives at a higher elevation nearby: they can feel earthquakes much more readily.

It's not going to be an earthquake this early in the year anyway. Earthquakes occur in April. ;)

Just maybe

My mother-in-law lives in the Compton NH area and is a very big boned (large) woman. She slipped and fell down the porch stairs about 5 minutes before noon today, 3-21-07. Mother-in-law is fine with just a few bruises but the stairs are destroyed. It wouldn't surprise me if that is what triggered the seismograph.

ohhh Mark

I hope your wife and mother-in-law don't read this forum!

This is a good thing.

I prefer my Winni shaken, not stirred.

Even felt it here in Bedford NH.I was having lunch in the truck and heard a bit of a rumble and a slight vibration.I thought I just swallowed my steak and cheese to fast.

No chance of either one. My wife has no clue how to use a computer.

Mother-in-law reading the forum   . What makes you think she can read?

BTW what's with your name rrr. Your initials? You growling?

Grant, Weirs guy, SIKSUKR and rrr and others have made me smile broadly. To think, in another thread they hint that my broad smile is because of my tongue placement!

We just barely made the cut on the US Geological Survey data page. Magnitude 2.4 quakes or less don't make this page:

I may be wrong, but I think that's a good thing.
