tree service

I have several trees that are dead, falling down and/or too close to the house. I need to have these taken down this spring. Can someone recommend a good tree company? A crane might be needed for on of them.

Thanks

Chippers

Great service from Chippers. They are located behind the Jackson Star in Meredith on Rt. 104. They use cranes and tree monkeys for the big pines. I've used them twice. The price was reasonable and the cleanup was better than I expected.

Tree Guy

I had a tall tree removed from my property and the guy I had do it was great. His name is Courtney Kelly. He goes by Court. He lives in Laconia and will travel. Does it for side work, my tree was about a 70 foot cedar tree, extremly reasonable and will be cheaper than any tree service. He has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing, used to work for a tree company for years
You can contact him through email, Tell him Alex from the Cottage in Eastern Shores recommended you!

Courtney removed a large Hemlock yesterday. He did a great job and spotless ceanup and very reasonable price. But watching him shimmie up a 50 foot tree with a rope he was well worth the price. Highly recommend

Last year, concerned with liability issues with somebody "climbing" a big tree, I called a nationally-advertised company to take out a few branches in the top of a huge maple—"and don't bother with cleanup".

The estimate? $1000! http://www.abestweb.com/smilies/flamingmad.gif

A Treemendous Experience

Thanks to those of you who recommended Court Kelly. I emailed Court and he did indeed respond promptly. He removed two mature trees that were threatening our home, a maple and a birch, and also removed three small dead and unsightly trees. And, Court ground up a stump that was located in the front of our home. He cut the downed wood up in fireplace lengths for us and stacked them up in our yard. All this for a very reasonable price. This man takes pride in his work.

I am glad you were happy with the service, He truely does take pride in his work. I wish he would travel to my house in RI. I need some work done there as well

Well I had Court remove 4 big trees for me over the last week. 2 Had branches hitting the roof shingles and either had to be taken down or would have to be trimmed every couple years. We chose to have them taken down. One other real big pine tree was rotted and was going to come down eventually on it's own or when we decided it was time....we decided the time was now!

Anyway, Courtney is a great guy, gave me a fair price and did an excellent job. You would have a hrad time telling me where the old trees were.

2 THUMBS UP!!!

Court Kelly

I would like to supplement my prior comments recommending Court Kelly. First of all, I recognize how seductive forum recommendations have the potential to be, and also respect the potential for abuse of this medium After all, none of you really know my identity.

I had never heard of Court Kelly prior to reading AC2717's posting earlier this year. As indicated earlier, I commincated with Court by email and finally engaged him to remove a stump and several trees from my property for a very reasonable price. Court not only showed up on time, cleaned up the site as promised, but he also cut and stacked wood for my future splitting for firewood.

Court recently suffered a personal tragedy and lost his too-young father to cancer. In the midst of balancing his family crises with his work commitments he actually sent an email to all of his customers explaining the reason for his lack of timely response. That level of client dedication is desparately lacking in our society today. Court is clearly an exception, and a refreshing example of a service oriented personality that is all too scarce in our current culture.

Court showed up today and met my wife for some additional work that we had previously asked him to price. My wife, Jo, was eqally impressed with this young man's sense of what is right from the standpoint of being a service oriented person.

If you are contemplating tree work, I urge you to consider Court. I can't imagine engaging anyone else for that work myself.

I took your advice and sent Court an email a few weeks back. We made arrangements to look at my job and he showed up promptly. He gave me a reasonable price and did the work when he said he would. Somehow he struck up a conversation with one of my neighbors down the road and wound up hauling all of the wood from my property (I wasn't interested in it) over there for free. My neighbor was estatic since he heats his house by wood. That neighbor now is considering him for some tree work!

Tree Services

I would recomend "Sonny & Sons" from Belmont. 524-0130 - They were very resonable. Responded quickly and performed an excellent clean-up. They took down 8 large dead trees for me. Don't know if they have a crane.
