Spindrift

As I was driving east on interstate 8 last week toward Tuscon, I could see a good sized boat on a flatbed trailer ahead of me. As I got a little closer, I could see the name on the stern was Spindrift. Remembering that there was a boat in my yacht club with that name, I began to wonder how many boats there might be around the country with that name. But as I got a little closer I could read the home port of "Welsh Island" under the name, and was I surprised! Looks like it was headed home for the summer. I wonder if it travels the country every year, and if it was on the west coast or one of the big lakes in Arizona.
How many people here move their boats from Winni to liquid water for the winter? Might be a good subject for a poll.
All my boats go into storage for the winter season.

Wow, that was my husbands fathers boat. We had heard it was taken to California when it was sold. It was such a nice boat, except for all the engine problems we had with it. When we would land the boat, you could hear it coming and then one of the engines would constantly quit, thanks to all who would help us land at the yacht club, especially Steve & Bobby. I can only imagine how much it would cost to fill that gas tank this summer, back then it was over $400 to fill it!!! We had some really great memories on that boat, thank you for your post.
