Perched Beach
I am currently in the process of researching perched beaches. I know what a perched beach is and what it's impact is on the shore/environment, but anyone tell me a round about figure to have this done. How much it could costs? Let's say approx. 20'L x 7' deep. There is already a beach that has been there for over 50yrs.
Also-what would the process be to obtain a permit? Any info would be greatly appreciated. |
i had mine done by Watermark Marine construction
They did all the permitting. it was about the size you mention, maybe a little smaller. Cost was ~$6K.

Thanks
Thanks for the response. Would you have any pics of the work they did for you? Could you PM them to me? I am trying to a get a visual idea before attempting to change our beach area.

There are lots of really good companies in the area for this type of stone work. I have seen lots of different kinds stone used for this application but mostly field stone or a stacking stone around the back side is really nice. It just all depends on how much you are looking to spend. Having a budget for a comtractor to work from is a great first step, rather than just saying quote me a price on the job. I guess knowing what kind of stone and deminsions of the area are great first steps to a project like this. Also making sure the permiting portion is taken care of before the job gets under way is very helpful also.
If you have any questions I can try and help you best I can, by pointing you in the right direction. Just ask... |
