WMUR reporting death of young girl
 

WMUR is reporting a seven year old girl has died as a result of the rain. Her family was trying to leave a campground in the Meredith area (I missed the name), and the family car was swept away as a stream turned into a raging river. Mother Father and another child escaped, but 7 year old did not make it.
Tragic...just unthinkable. May God be with her family in the days to come. I just can't begin to imagine...

I can't imagine the pain they're going through. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

My heart goes out to that girl's family- what a tragedy.

What is up with this weather this year! I was in Naples ME this weekend and it barely rained at all and in fact was sunny almost all weekend, come to find out that MA and NH had real bad stormes. What a sad sad thing to happen to this family.

Today's Providence Journal released her name -

The little girl's name is Kaitlyn Ferra and she is from North Smithfield Rhode Island. Her funeral is tomorrow, 8-14-08.

Thanks, RI...a name is very important. The poor family.
I can't imagine where her parents will find the strength to lift their head off the pillow this morning.
Maybe everyone reading this can give their children a extra hug today...
