Berry Pond Motel
 

I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has stayed at the Berry Pond Motel. We are interested in staying in the area for a few days and were interested in the Berry Pond. I'm not looking for suggestions for other places to stay, just a bit of info from someone who has stayed there.

Is it owned by the same people that own Gilligans?

I don't think it is the same people. The rooms are pretty basic. Nothing to write home about but clean and tidy. Convienent to the local area within 60 miles or so. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head, it is fine. Rt 25 runs right in front of it so you'll hear traffic noice but then again the police and fire dept are right across the street. Not too much action around here most of the time. As long as you aren't expecting red carpet treatment, the price is right.

They aren't the same owners, but they are very nice people who put a lot of work and money into making it a nice, clean, and affordable place to stay. I have some fishing friends who end up there since my house is too small to accomodate all of them and they've never had any complaint about the traffic noise or the accomodations and they keep going back.:)

The owner is a great guy (Mark) and he works hard to keep the place nice. No relation to Gilligan's. Pretty centrally located too. The number is 476-5571.

Lots of our customers stay there and all say that Mark is great.....goes out of his way to make his guests happy.Definately a good deal and nice clean place to stay.

Thanks for all the great feed back...I guess my main concern was whether or not the place was clean and tidy and if the management was easy to work with. You've all answered my questions! I knew you'd be able to help. Thanks!

Went by there yesterday, looks like a For Sale sign in front of it again.
