Regis and Kelly
 

last Friday on Regis and Kelly they had on Michael Chiklis of "The Shield". He was talking about how he spent his summer vacation and he said that he spent time in New Hampshire at Lake Winnipesaukee. Apparently he's from Lowell, MA so has ties to the area. Well 'lo and behold the "Trivia Question" today on Regis and Kelly was: What New Hampshire vacation spot did Michael Chiklis say he visited this summer when he was on the show last Friday. The answer of course being Lake Winnipesaukee. The caller did not get the answer but LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE was up there on the screen in big bold letters when the answer was revealed!! Too bad the caller lost 10,000 bucks! I wish I were the caller because I sure knew the answer. BTW, Regis even pronounced Winnipesaukee correctly. Kind of cool way to start my day. :)

Well actually I heard it from the other room. Regis even said it's one of NH's biggest vacation spots. So I'm yelling Lake Winnipesaukee!!! (my husband thought I was crazy) The guy's answer was Boston!! I didn't even see the show last friday and I got it. It was a good way to start the day/week.

With the Manchester airport rename Manchester-Boston, the Democrats taking over politics, rise of the McMansions and rise of taxes, we may very well be a 'suburb' of Boston. :(

Don't they know that everyone from Boston comes to Lake Winnipesaukee?! :D

Maybe the poor guy that answered that was from way down south...like Reveah, or , Meffa considering the traffic and time it must take him, he thinks he's in N.H. :laugh:

Andover just celebrated Mike Chiklis day! It was a pretty big deal for a sleepy little town.

The family moved to Lowell after Mike had graduated from Andover HS and had gone off to college...so he's an Andover native through and through, just like Jay Leno!

Bette Davis and Barbara Walters are Lowellians as are Jack Kerouak, Ed McMahon, and some other lesser known Hollywood types.
