Is there a burgundy colored evergreen?

I am planting an evergreen garden and would like a shrub that is burgundy colored to contrast the green/blue of my other shrubs in the winter. I am not too familar with the shrubs in this region as I am from Florida. Is there a shrub with a burgundy/cranberry color that does not lose its leaves following fall?
Thank you.

Got Deer?

I was just reading about a site to find critters, and the site also has information on plants:
http://zipcodezoo.com/default.asp. You'll need to set your location first.

Among other plant things, the site requests info as to "deer-resistant" or "hummingbird-attracting". (Color would need to be searched for.)

From that site, the list below includes shrubs that are deer-resistant, but doesn't specify color: Perhaps someone else here can recognise one or more of the following—for color—as suitable for this zone:

Andromeda,
Dorothy Wycoff Andromeda,
Japanese Pieris
Lily of the Valley Shrub
Pieris japonica 'Dorothy Wyckoff'
Mountain Fire Andromeda
Mountain Fire

Compact Andromeda,
Compact Japanese Andromeda
Pieris japonica 'Mountain Fire'
Pieris japonica 'Compacta'
Green Mound Boxwood
Buxus x 'Green Mound'
Olympic Wedding Mountain Laurel
Kalmia latifolia 'Olympic Wedding'
Robb's Spurge
Euphorbia amygdaloides robbiae var. robbiae

(Includes synonyms for their many common names).

Barberry Bush

I have several "burgundy" barberry bushes in my yard. Practically the only thing that is deer resistant. Sort of prickly thing that stays that color year-round. You can also get same plant in golden color and in green. Some of my evergreen-colored barberry plants turn a pink hue in the fall as the leaves change. Quite nice.
Good luck with your garden!
