Activities this Weekend???

We have friends from out of state coming to the Lake Thursday to Sunday. We're looking for entertainment ideas that don't involve too much sub-zero exposure.

Yikes not all that much around the area this time of the year that won't involve getting cold in some way, shape or form. :(

May I suggest a weekend flight to Miami?

Bowling at Funspot is always an option! Followed by a movie and dinner.

I should probably know the answer to this but if I do it's buried in my head somewhere.....and I'm too lazy right now to check their website. Do they have candlepin or tenpin, or both? Thank you! :)

Ice Racing?

I understand the ice racing started last week so maybe they will be back at it this weekend. Check out this thread for more info

How about some TUBING at GUNSTOCK ? You can slip into the lodge when you need to warm up!

Billiards

There are pool tables at the place that used to be Stix (I'm not sure if they still call it that). Also, other threads say that the new Michael's restaurant (where Willows was) also has pool tables.

And, Funpot is having a Military Appreciation Day on Sunday with events and free stuff for Military Families. They also have simulated driving ranges upstairs.

Or - go swimming! The Shalimar is advertising that they have a new olympic-sized pool. Other places with day rates include the Margate and Steele Hill in Sanbornton. (Bonus points for Steele Hill's huge hot tubs.) I think perhaps Mill Falls might, as well.

Corner House - Sandwich

You may want to check out the Corner House in Sandwich. They have
story telling on Thursday and Live entertaiment. If you Google "Corner House Sandwich NH" it shows what you need. Their entertainment schedule only goes to end of last year so you would have to call(284-6219). This also is a nice place to have dinner. They also have a pub with some couches and you can order off the menu.

Enjoy

Patricks Pub

Another place. Patricks Pub in Gilford. They have live entertainment on Friday & Saturdays. Another place that has good food.

Meadowbrook

Meadowbrook has a Simon & Garfunkel Tribute band on Sunday night too at the Center Stage Cafe. Not sure how much tickets are, though.

Thanks

Thanks for the input. The bright sunshine and relative lack of wind allowed us to do more outside than I expected. But when we got cold we did go to Funspot for bowling and Pinball. Thanks again.
