Car in the Lake

Anyone know what happened. I was on my way down to Meredith get some of my favorite Chinese food (Phu Jee) and saw the police had Pleasant St blocked off with their lights flashing. Of coarse I rubbernecked it and noticed more flashing lights down by Meredith Moorings and a tow truck backed up the the lake. I wondered if someone or something had gone in the lake. Well, my I got confirmation as I was driving back through the lights after picking up my food the tow truck was coming the other way with a car looking very wet and dripping water the whole way. It was a red 4 door coupe with out of state plates. Wonder what happened?

Local Realtor, I was on scene. Young girls in the car heading back into town from the neck. Hit the curb on right side of street, overcompensated, pulled hard left, panicked no brake, all throttle, over the curb, lawn, dock and splashdown. I will give them this, with all the drama, she only took out 1 tie post! Both girls were shaken up, but ok, and were able to get out of the car and to shore safely. I have pic of car in the water on my cell phone. I will try a and get it up on here. It was bad, but could have been a lot worse.

Glad they weren't hurt.

Too Bad

The driver seems to have lost FOCUS.

Will it be dumb blonde or FORD jokes

With 'Jenny McCarthy' at the wheel ... Oh yeah I think so.

So she hit the curb on her side of the road and then overcompensated. That's a bit of a euphemism. She plain lost control ... you might say she lost her Focus.

EDIT : I just got to learn to type faster. MI beat me to it.

OK so what would we expect. Afterall it's a FORD, Found Off Road Drenched.

It was just another typical Spring day in Meredith. With Ice out close to being a reality, a young woman found her FOCUS turned toward the open waters of Lake Winni. Hoping someday she could afford a slip at the Yacht Club/

Different thought

I was thinking that Don needs to launch a full scale investigation into some shenanigans with the Ice-Out contest. Hear me out on this one:

So we need to find out whether or not Ms. McCarthy is in the contest or perhaps one of her relatives. I'm thinking she was trying to break up the last bits of ice in Meredith Bay with this stunt! I want an investigation into this matter at once.:laugh::laugh:

oops

I think the her exuse is ALL WET! It must be that the quick steering in that High Performance Focus caused the car to make a hard left.

Aww, C'mon.... gtxrider made a Valiant effort to get to the bottom of this story, especially after learning that Ms. McCarthy was piloting a Voyager, not a sedan, and was hoping to see the famed Meredith Bay Barracuda (as opposed to the Plymouth Bay Barracuda) up-close and personal as they Dart in-and-out of the ice.
