Alton Benefit Roast Beef Dinner

A Benefit Roast Beef Dinner will be held on April 25, 2009 for Mike Mahoney and family. Mike was seriously injured in a snowmobile accident earlier this year. The dinner will be held at the Alton Masonic Lodge on rte 28 south, just south of the Alton Traffic circle from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12. Here is the flyer for this benefit.

The Alton Business Association (ABA) and Winnipesaukee Lodge #75 in Alton are proud to sponsor this worthwhile event. We hope to see you there.

Is there a place to send donations?

Contact Brian

Contact Brian at Amilynne's (corner store) and he would be able to tell you who to send the donation to.

Thanks

Dave

Is 100% going to Brian & his family?

Also when did this happen?? Not that details need to be given, but there is a huge close snowmobile community here that are curious.

Mike does plumbing and heating and has done some work for us. Nice guy. Sorry to hear this bad news. McD

1. Winnipesaukee Lodge #75 is donating the use of the hall and its members are doing all the cooking. The Lodge is also donating the food, with the desserts coming from other sources than the Lodge. Any items coming from the Alton Business Association will be donated as well. Just a correction: It is Mike Mahoney and family. Brian is Brian Mitchell from Amilyn's Store, one of the organizers of this benefit.

2. As I understand it, but I did not get the info directly from Mike, he was riding on the lake on his way back home in the dark, and hit the edge of a pressure ridge around Little Mark, causing the sled to tip over, causing neck injuries. He was paralyzed but has gained a lot of function back, but not 100%. He is still making progress, but it will be a long process.

And yes McD, he is a great guy and has been coming up to Alton since his childhood years (Keywadin Park area) and moved to Alton a few years ago full time with his wife and kids. Thanks for adding the picture of one of his vehicles. Locals will undoubtably recognize the truck.
