Add Lakes Region Cams to webcams.travel
 

Google Maps has added a very cool new feature: Web cams. When you're in Google Maps, click on "more" and select Web Cams. Available web cams will be shown. But you will notice that none of the Lakes Region cams show up.

The service is offered through http://www.webcams.travel -- which allows users to add a web cam. One twist: you must be the owner of the cam to add it. So if you're the owner/operator of a Lakes Region web cam, and would like to see it appear on Google Maps, go to http://www.webcams.travel and create an account (it's free, and takes about 30 seconds).

I take that back -- Don's very own Weirscam is the lone Winni view available via Google Maps.

It seems that selecting the web cam filter slows Google Maps performance, but if you're looking for a cam, it's an incredible tool. And you will not believe the number of cams throughout Europe. Zoom way in on the maps, as more cam icons pop up.
