New Executive Chef at Wolfeboro Inn!

Please allow me to introduce our new Executive Chef, Stephen Harding. Stephen joins us from one of our sister properties, Exeter Inn, and has been with Hay Creek Hospitality for 3 years. Please feel free to review the culinary accomplishments that he has earned at Epoch Restaurant. The website is www.theexeterinn.com We are all very excited about the positive changes on the way and hope all will enjoy the upgraded food quality he will bring to the table...

We wish him success!!

I'm sure the new chef will be fine. There are some operational issues that aren't under his/her responsibility.

When the wife and I went we never got to try the chef's work as all the people that we were to have met before receiving the chef's work wasn't psychically and many times mentally all there. When I hear some good positive comments on here I will be more than happy to give the chef a try.:)

Success? The guy has been there for over three months. They said he was a super-star, all I see is a super mistake. He got the best of new Hampshire for a oyster shooter. Are you for real? Vodka, oyster, horseraddish and a smile get you a best of. That's insane!!! As for a chance, come on... The rib eye is loaded with some {bad} BBQ sauce, the prime rib is always over cooked, all the food comes out warm at best. The plates are littered with parsley, seemed like they are covering up dirty plates and so on.
I'm sorry but if anything, steve Harding is a joke. The menu is a joke, the gm should transfer to the housekeeping dept and the foh managers need to take an etiquette class. Service in this industry is paramount. They haven't gotten that memo yet.
I would rather take my family to the Wolfeboro diner for thanksgiving than to this side show call the tavern.

WG,
Your profanity will earn you a time out on this forum.

Wow!

Well, well...certainly no "axe to grind" here, he said, tongue firmly in cheek.

Just an honest to goodness review. (not quite!)

sent them my resume a few months ago.

they never called me. Guess they don't need any 'outside' help.

My husband and I returned to the Tavern this Halloween weekend. We had been there for the "soft" opening in May - tried again in July and were hoping that this time there they would get it right (after those 2 disappointments) Well, not only did they get it right - we went back 2 days later. The Prime Rib was delicious!! When you go for the All you can eat fish Friday dinner - when you got refills they gave you more of everything - fries, etc!! Their shrimp and sausage gumbo was just perfect. Going back 2 nights later my husband had the roast beef special (I believe it was roasted) - and it was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. We were introduced by our waitress to the new manager one night and the chef the other.
We think they are back on track and we wish them well.

I saw the first unedited version and thought it was disgusting. Glad someone edited it.
