Primary Care Physicians

Hi All,

As I am still getting acquainted to living full time in the Lakes Region, I am currently seeking a new Primary Care Physician as mine is located down in Boston still. The current urge to change is due to a pretty bad clogging of my left ear after swimming on Saturday. I live in Moultonboro and work in Wolfeboro. I don't want to sacrifice one of my vacation days to drive down there. I am looking for a PCP that is reputable and not just a nobody as I am extremely picky, stubborn, and Italian when it comes to doctors/dentists, etc. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Laconia Clinic

My husband and I live in Moultonboro - but our Dr (or doctors, really) are at Laconia Clinic-which is part of LRGH. We have had excellent care from Dr Rush (our PCP) as well as whichever Dr might be on clinic duty for when you're ill but your PCP is booked. They have a small OR at the clinic for doing some fun stuff like colonoscopies, they have Xray, bone density machines, it's really very good. I totally recommend them.

Moultonborough Family Health

253-6925, they are right on Route 25 in Moultonborough in the same building with Century 21, Inter-Lakes Family Dental (they are excellent, too) and the pizza place - they are on the far right hand side of the building on the ground floor. Since I don't know if you are a Mr. Shreddy or a Ms. Shreddy, you'll be happy to hear there are multiple female CNMs if you like to see a female (I see Mary Bidgood-Wilson, she does all of my care and delivered my youngest) and there is a LNP named Richard Young on staff who I actually just needed to see because Mary wasn't in and thought he was just awesome, both of my daughters think he's the shiz, and my husband went back to him more than once, which he's never done to any doc as long as I've known him.

Yep, Moultonboro Family Health. Good people. Good care, will refer you out to Dartmouth-Hitchcock(the best) or Laconia for "other" stuff. They are nurse practitioners and mid-wives. Very happy there. My other Doc was at Mass General Hospital before moving here.
