Bald Eagle
2 Attachment(s)
I saw this Bald Eagle on 8/27 . This Eagle landed next to Foley’s Island ( the rocks ) and was eating what I presumed was a fish. Foley’s Island is just past the Long Island Bridge. I had my binoculars out and my camera but unfortunately some of the pictures came out blurry so I attached the best one’s I had. The second on is the Eagle taking off you can see it to the left of the trees. ( Can't seem to figure out how to make my post / pics smaller..)

Great Pictures
Thanks for posting.
The easy was to reduce the size of pictures.. (and it's free), is to use this program. http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm |
New Neighbors
We have a new nest on Blueberry Island this year. We got a great picture of the eagle sitting on a branch next to the nest and will try to upload it. I am curious regarding their range for food. We have looked at the nest most days and have the eagle there only once. Does anyone know how far they travel for food?

Hi Black Cat Islander
I would think that you would know me. Is there a way that you could send me an email at Ilaser@aol.com? I have been on the board doing nominating in years past. I am a 67 year old grandmother who had a daughter marry here this summer and who for some reason is being misunderstood by a few souls on this forum. I see that you post here so am looking to find someone who knows me. I do not use this email regularly but do not want to give the regular one out in a forum on the internet. You are free to consult our list and use my regular email if you feel more comfortable doing that. Thanks, Me (use that last word twice)
