Halloween costumes/ideas

After meeting so many of you at the Fest and getting to know you here on the forum-I know I will find some help out there! Halloween is approaching and I need a costume! I am quite proud of the fact that throughout my now grown children's trick or treat days I never purchased a store made outfit! I consider myself "handy" and am asking for any ideas you may have for a adult costume. All ideas/suggestions are welcomed. If someone has a costume to rent, I am open to that as well. Thanks Forum friends in advance for your help!

Other than teasing your hair a mile high and blue hair spray, this wouldn't be too hard to do.... :D

When you first said "go as Marge Simpson", this is what I thought of:

Pineneedles-I was wondering where that dress was... DON the webmaster has it! You are too funny for words with that picture!
Argie's Wife-There have been way too many references to Marge Simpson in other threads-if you get my meaning-so I don't want to steal anyone's thunder!
Shedwannabe-Now THAT'S scary!!
Thanks for the replies-keep 'em coming!!
C'mon-help me out here!! After all, thanks to the forum members, my brother and I fixed my clothes dryer for about $2.00...!!!

How Crafty Are You?

Can you sew and how soon do you need a costume?

A Fisher Person - Fishing vest, hat and reel etc.

Little girl - Wear a nightgown and slippers, paint your cheeks, tie your hair with a red ribbon, and carry a baby doll.

Devil With A Blue Dress On - Blue dress, devil horns, devil tail, pitch fork.

A Kitty or Cat Burglar - Black turtle neck and leggings, headband with ears, draw on nose and whiskers and make a tail. Loot bag with kitty popping out with a tool belt on your waist.

Bat - Similar kitty, but sew wings from craft felt.

An angel

Bag Lady - Make clothes from plastic or paper bags and use tape and duct tape to hold everything together.

A Dice

Bird Watcher - Wear safari style clothes, with a hat and binoculars around your neck. Make a mixture of diluted paint or white out and splatter it all over your hat and clothes to look like birds flew over you.

Old lady with boobs down to there

Hippie

Mother Nature - White dress with leaves, branches, grasses, birds etc.

Rag doll

Pregnant nuns are always funny :eek2:

Christmas Tree

Chocolate Moose - Fashion a cardboard Hershey Bar out of foam board and make moos antlers.

Fortune Teller

Scratch Lottery Ticket - A couple years ago a guy made up a lotto ticket called "Scratch My Balls". (You'd have to be inventive as you are a Lady.)

Cleaning Lady

Cookie Monster - Dress like any monster, but attach cookies to yourself.

Doctor in scrubs

Cotton Candy - Fiber fill stuffing, dyed pink. Use spray adhesive to attach it over a long sleeved shirt, going around and around until it gets big and fluffy (don’t forget to cover the arms). Wear a hat or headband covered with stuffing made into a point, and white pants or skirt, with white shoes.

Cow Girl

Devil in disguise - Long coat or trench coat over a devil costume and hat. Finish with glasses with a fake nose.

Be sure to share a picture with us! Good luck.

Back In The Late Forties....

My Mom had made me an Ancha Mima costume, and with makeup and all, I set out into the neighborhood on one Halloween and had to have one of the neighbors call home and summon the family pickup truck to come and get me. I had collected tons of candy!! :liplick: :) :D

Another crafty one

Dress as a chicken, wrap a blue sash around your middle and tie a cord around that. You are now Chicken Cord on Blue!
