Chiropractor in the LR

Any recommendations?

I've been going to one in Gilford for several years and even my husband and kids have been going, but with all the turn overs in office staff and increases in patients, I can't get in anymore. I guess I'm glad business is good but... when you can't pick up your kids because you're hurting and can't get in to be seen... well, time to look elsewhere... movin' on.

I LOVE mine!

A friend recently asked me for a referral, and after his visit, he cam eback smiling... he loved Dr. Whitaker, too!

Whitaker Chiropractic
783 N Main St, Laconia, NH 03246 (603) 528-6300

He's not only a great chiropractor, but a good guy. I'm always amazed that he remembers the details of my family and the general conversation we had at the last appointment that I had! (And it could be a year between appointments!) It's like he takes notes... but he doesn't. He just genuinely cares for his patients.

It's a small office, but they're flexible. My other friend was able to get right in to see him. Two thumbs up!

He most likely does take notes. Usually after you leave or at the end of the day. Then sometimes they are reviewed before your appt. I'm not saying every doc studies these things just a quick glance to have a clue who you are. No, I'm not a doctor but have been told this by one.

Referral

Where do you guys get referral for a chiropractor? My orthopedic surgeon is the best according to NH magazine. Yet he despised chiropractors. he would send me to physical therapy instead.
My insurance won't pay without a referral.

I suppose he could do it after session, but I've seen him take another patient right after I've left, without stopping at any charts. Maybe he remembers it until he has the chance to take notes. I guess that is a possibility.

I don't know where a referral would need to come from ,but I'd call the office and ask. I would think that your Primary could do it?

My wife is Dr. Whitaker's office manager. He is a great person, takes time with you, and is very good at what he does.

He will do what it takes to make sure your treated ok.

Dr. Jeff Whitaker

Dr. Jeff Whitaker gets my vote too! Hubby and I have both been to see him numerous times over the past 14 years or so, and he's fabulous!!!! Call his office and see if he can see you quickly - I'd be willing to bet he'll do what's necessary to squeeze you in, because he's so compassionate, and a wonderful practitioner. :)

if a trip to Meredith isn't too far...

... Dr. Eisenberg is a miracle worker. If it's an emergency, they fit you right in, and his bedside manner is fabulous. He and Dr. Whitaker take over for each other when one is on vacation, so they're both great (I've seen Dr. Whitaker, as well).

He is in the building where Fitness Edge is.

I recommend having a good set of x rays before seeing a chiropractor. They can do more damage than good if not properly informed. Take it from one who knows.

Dr. Whitaker does not take notes. He remembers ALL his patients even the ones he hasn't seen in years.

A photographic memory. Very obviously, DR. Whitaker is brilliant, and shares a part with his patiants...

On a scale of 1 to 10, from what I can see he's a 10. Couldn't ask for any better than that! :) :look:

Nice to know...

I had a chiropractor as a tenant a few years ago. After he moved on, a 3rd-class (non-forwardable) chiropractic newsletter continued to arrive every month.

That newsletter wasn't doing the Chiropractic "trade" any favors! :eek2:

Getting x-rays before you see a chiroprator is a good idea, but if you see a GOOD chiropratic, he will take x-rays. Dr. whitaker does this.

chiropractor

What ever happened to Dr. Stephen G. Guild?Abenaki chiro. center. It was on Union Ave. in Laconia. I knew his family, they had long roots in Laconia, and were neighbors of ours for years on Spindle Point.
