Mt. Washington loses title

As reported this morning, the 231 mph record for fastest recorded wind speed has been topped by winds measured in 1996 down under (Australia), during a cyclone.:(

Since the weather in New England is always changing, I'm not worried that we'll be defeated by the Land Down Under for very long... :D
