Pine Pollen??

Is the pine pollen flying yet? Some of the web cams seem to show a yellow tint in the water...just wondering if it's happening a little earlier than usual.

I don't think the Pine is in full bloom yet. still cold up here. I have a pine in my back yard that i have to mow under. If it is high I get covered in yellow pollen. Have not had that problem yet. when the pines are letting go of their pollen I have to wash my truck every day or I sneeze just looking at it....

Cool site, thanks.

Yeah, I thought it was a little early, but wondered what I was seeing on a couple of the lake cams.

I guess a good indicator would be to check the two transplanted lake pines that I have planted in my yard down here. Once they go into full pollen mode, the pines along the lake should be about 3 weeks away. We're typically 3-4 weeks ahead of the Lake, weather-wise.

No pine pollen in Moultonborough Bay (yet).

Well, I have seen some on the windshield of my van. And since I just got done cleaning ten windows on my porch, I'm sure the pines will be ready to unclean them any day now.:(

Won't be awful until June

The white pine pollen - that awful yellow that looks like somebody has been sprinkling yellow-tinted flour all over your deck, house, car, etc., won't be at it's delectable peak until June. Right now I feel like I have been hit in the nose with a 2x4 and the spring has just begun. Oy

Yup, pine pollen is a June thing. The lake is usually loaded by fathers day.

yeah you know when it is pine season, because it is always fun when you can actually chew on the pollen...:D
