I find most people do know what they are doing and are respectable. That being said there are people who are just jerks too. I have no problem with people who are learning their way around the lake...

Yeah I didn't think you could. Even if there is beach rights I don't believe there is a dock there. I'm always looking for places to eat from the boat.
