My Wife actually wrote a story for a real estate magazine about our woodpecker incident: We initially thought bugs as well, and called an exterminator. He found nothing until he came into the house,...

Best Clams
Having moved to Cape Cod, we have found the seafood here exceptional---but when it comes to fried clams, we still compare every plate to Pop's. Some here are quite good, but not Pop's good. If Pop's...

Because I am a knucklehead, I keep my spare boat key on the ring with my car keys. If I forget to hang the regular key up at the end of a weekend, and it travels elsewhere, at least I know the spare...

Hiding from the storm
I fully agree: Obviously, try to stay off the water if a storm is imminent, but if you do get caught, find an empty dock, or at least get in near shore and anchor. You will probably meet some new...

On a more upbeat note: I drove by the William Tell for YEARS and never stopped there, as it was nothing to look at. Finally, we "took a chance" and ate there and it was fantastic. A year after...

I am having a similar problem with my 2004 Volvo Penta. I have narrowed it down to what Volvo calls the fuel cell: It is a lift pump, high pressure pump filter and heat exchanger all in one...
