R2B You are correct on that they own the land. Like I said earlier, when abandoned, many of the rights of way went back to the original owners. Many are still owned by the B&M, like in Rochester...

I figure that if there is a sign made by the town for the street, then it should be okay to drive. But who really knows. Unless it says no trespassing I try it.
