Yes, sometimes

I work for a boat dealer from time to time, mostly the boat shows. The answer is yes and no and it depends on the dealer. Dealer's pay a large sum of money to bring their boats down and put them in...

Myc

I've been a renter at Meredith Yacht Club for the last 6 years and I can tell you it is a wonderful place to keep your boat. The amenities of the club are enough by itself, but it's proximity to...

Model numbers are pointless

You can't use model numbers to judge boats anymore. It used to be "240" or "220" meant something. Modern boat builders use the model numbers to try to get a boat into competition with other boats...

Usps

This past year I've had more issues with USPS than I can recall in any given year. The worst offender is the FedEx Smartpost, which uses Fedex to move stuff around and relies on the USPS to deliver....

New boaters

I can't say that I've noticed more performance boats, but I've only been up a few times.

What I have noticed is what must be a ton of new boaters. I saw several boats on the wrong side of markers...

Center Harbor Town Beach

Over the years, I have tied up to the Center Harbor town docks and gone to use the beach right next door. No one has ever said a thing to us, we've always been respectful of the place. Recently, a...

Not a must, learned to navigate the lake with a map, compass and a good sense of direction many years ago.

That said, assuming that $800 includes a GPS which is compatible with one of the Bizer...

Great place

I ate here twice during my recent stay up on the lake. The first was an impromtu walk by as I was waiting for the rain to pass to take my boat from it's slip to the rental house. And it was so...

I tip between $5 and $10 based on a variety of factors, at least partly on what cash I happen to have in my wallet at the time.

On my list is to get 2 of the same deck tube. It's a big list, so I might borrow yours (Dave R) to give it a try.

Thanks!

Bowriders

I'm on my third Cobalt Bowrider. The first was a 20, then a 24, now a 27. I've never felt unsafe in any of them, I've never taken more than spray over the bow. I've been out in all kinds of...

HD Visa

If you happen to have a Harley Davidson, the HD Visa card from US Bank has been pretty good to me. Their Signature card earns you 1 point for every dollar, 2 points to the dollar on gas, restaurants...

Depends on route

First, I would figure out how you are going to get to the lake, then find a slip in the nearest spot. On boating days, I don't mind driving the boat a little longer, to drive the car a little less. ...

Check out www.bizer.com and click on "lake level". I used that page a lot when I used to slip at Parker.

You'll see that the lake is high vs typical for this time of year, but it's not beyond...
