HP dock
A docking area for handicapped boaters is a good idea. I see chair vans around but have not seen a chair boat. Is there a picture in photo post?

More debate about kayaks and speed
What classification do you give to the boaters driving faster than their ability to see? Why are people who don't understand your logic worse than the out of control speed freaks bearing down on...

Do we need a new law?
I hope that the injured woman thrown from the boat is quickly recovering from her thigh injury. It must have been a terrible experience. I wish all of them the best.
What is next? Will there...

bleach bottle swim line
You need the proper permits to have a swim line. I think the position and distance from shore are outlined in the permit process. Other conditions may apply. One bleach bottle does not qualify as a...

Evenstar's entire argument
That is much simpler than all the above kayak math.
You sound like you have too much boat for our lake. Over equipped and overqualified to be paddling around Winnie. The vacationers I see...

Speed limit or 150 foot law enforcement
I must agree with Ryan.
It would appear that the Senate would rather have the Marine Patrol concentrate on enforcing the proposed speed limits rather than the current 150 foot law.

Same old lament with a twist
You know better than that Evenstar. All your concerns are covered by existing laws. Unsafe speeds are not allowed here. Enforced existing laws will lower your risk more than concentrating on an...

Expanded on RGs idea
I think you have a handle on a good scheme RG. It may not be legal though to let a vessel float around without control. What would keep it from crashing into something even another kayak? Would it...

What if we adopted Evenstar policy?
Expanding your policy not to discuss something you can't or haven't viewed for yourself (not just data but claimed boat violators too) would eliminate most of the current debate. How many of those...

A flag for kayaks is a great idea
What a great idea EdicP. A flag with it's base at least 3 feet above the kayak would be excellent. Evenstar would be seen from even further away with a flag like that. That certainly would help her...

I asked:
Your reply did not answer my hypothetical question. Noise is addressed in the rules as well as the 150 foot rule. You want speed limits to limit noise rather than the noise laws?
