Closing thread
Well I am finally putting this thread to bed. As far as I am concerned - with respect to scuba - ice in is here. There will be no more training prior to ice in. From now on it is in actual ice water...

Some observations today
Center Harbor iced in as far as the eye can see - 3 or 4 small huts on the ice near shore - many individuals on the ice fishing with tubs.
S. Paugus Bay iced in - several individuals on the ice...

Gates open
I am hoping to spend a lot of time here this winter in prep for ice diving. Does anyone know if the gates are kept open all winter during the day and if the road is kept plowed?

Lake Winnisquam rock garden
I read in a posting awhile back that there was a decent shore dive off Ahern State Park to the left of the entry about 200' if I remember right. It was said to be a rock garden at about 30' depth...
