Ice Out???
Went to Rattlesnake today, both sides. no ice in sight on either side. Photos attached. First is from east side looking towards Wolfeboro, etc. Second is looking towards Sleeper

I have a friend that boated out to the quiet side of Rattlesnake yesterday afternoonm ames Farm. Some ice left below Aligator Point, but all else clear. haven't heard if he got around to other...

West Alton Marina
We have been at West Alton Marina for 4 seasons now and have found them to be attentive to island residents. We always ask for Ice out launch and November 1 pulling of boat. Never been a problem.

Rocks move!
I for one have significant damage from the rocks moving into my docks and breakwaters. I am sure it is going to cost a lot of $$ to fix.

The Sound of the Mount
When the Mount went by Rattlesnake the other night, I was saddened to notice that it was silent. I will miss the sound of her engines. I could always hear her coming before I could see her.

Saturday at lake
I went from Alton to Meredith today. At noon there was open water between the Rattlesnake Landing and Sleeper Island with lots of cracks in the remaining ice.
No ice in Smith Cove.

Twice this weekend, a boat went by Rattlesnake Island selling lobsters. No sign telling the price and since we already had some, I did not hail them over. Anyone know any of the details about them?

Sunday River has it's Bust n' Burn Parrothead weekend with bands playing outside most of Saturday and Sunday at White Cap lodge. Pond skimming, etc.
130 trails open last weekend with good coverage!
