Good catch!
Went there a couple of times in early June. First time, a customer had the turkey pot pie which looked good; served in a cast iron skillet with a nice looking crust. One of us ordered it. The food arrived with the server saying that they were out of the turkey pot pie. One of us had to wait for another dish while others watched while the food got cold (return to kitchen; ain't happening here). Next visit I decided to order the turkey pot pie and it came with two biscuits on top instead of the crust with maybe a couple of chunks of turkey, a couple of morsels of vegetable and the sauce; no joke! "What happened to the crust"? Server said that people up here prefer the biscuits on top instead of the crust. That being said, I returned it and just enjoyed a drink.
Question: Are biscuits preferred?
Anyway, we really want to see the tavern return with good food like it used to be and are willing to give them another shot; at least the rest of the summer to get things together. We'll try again in late summer when we're up again.
