Wink What Thunderstorm?

The wind was directly from the east, which usually signals a weather-change. Around 2 PM, I watched those clouds a-building, but all were to the north of the Ossipee Mountains. "North Conway's going to get drenched", I thought.

(This was before I launched my sailboat for the second time today ).

It was a good and consistent sailing wind, but just an hour later, the clouds got taller and darker as they fully covered half of the sky north of the lake. There was thunder, but few boaters gave up to go home. (Until the last minute).

I had kept close to home, so at "first thunder", I secured the decks for a big thunderstorm. The wind came up big-time and then it rained heavily.

A few minutes later, this event was over!
