We were early and so had the place to ourselves for a while. Both of us were seated so that we could take in the early evening beauty of the scenery and the room. The menu offered lots of selections, priced from $22 to $36. We chose the filet and crab cake combination ($30), served with bearnaise, asparagas, and fancy fluted mashed potatoes. They started us off with a melba round with boursin and lobster (no extra charge), hot rolls with butter balls, then a lemon-ginger sorbet to "cleanse the palate", followed by one of the most delicious and elegant dinners we have ever had! If you want to spend a wonderful day about 1.5 hours from the Lakes Region, it's a beautiful ride this time of year and the dinner itself was well worth the ride! Leave the sneakers and jeans at home...also the baseball cap turned backwards.....you want to be casually but nicely dressed. There were people of all ages there, even some small children, but all were well behaved. Do yourselves a favor....this place is great! Just our opinions, of course.

Mountain View Grand ia a great place. I have stayed there while working and have had company sponsered dinner programs at the resort. The pool water has always been the perfect temperature also.
