Just a few years ago, the Valley's
Owl's Nest Resort had no air-conditioning. On one particularly hot evening, I heard through the open window, "Daddy, there's a bear in the parking lot!"
Sure enough, cool as a cucumber, a black bear was wandering between cars and SUVs.
