Let's not be ridiculous....that old fire truck looks like it is a 1930's truck.

If you simply enter 'craigslist fire truck' into google, you come up with a truck full of different possibilities.

Down on the Island of Dominica, home to the Dominican Republic and to Haiti, believe they use white Dodge dualie pickup trucks equipped with ladder rack, ladder, hose, pump, water tank and firefighters.

Necessity is the mother of invention. When all they have to spend is $15,000. they figure out what works and go with a used pickup truck and used firefighting equipment. Besides, it is the firefighters and not the truck that fights the fire.

So, did Meredith purchase a new $750,000 aerial tower truck only to have it be damaged in the first week due to operator error? The most expensive fire truck in the world is useless without firefighters who know what they are doing, and are motivated to do it.
