Default Used boat

hancoveguy, you mentioned wanting used to avoid having a loan. With the boat market the way it is right now, I think it's the way too go. You don't get the huge depreciation. The prices of used boats have tanked so you can pick up some good deals.

If you have a tow vehicle that can pull a 24ish footer, don't be afraid to look a couple states away to save $$$$$. Buying a used boat requires patience.

A lot of used boats have sellers who are doing rectal extraction to arrive at their asking price. Go to NADA if you see a boat you like and you'll see what I mean. Unfortunately many sellers tie the value of their boat to what they own on them.

Don't be afraid to make offers (realistic) on used boats you see as you'll be surprised at what they actually sell for.
