Last year, Soundings magazine had a special issue devoted to "recreational" tugs.

A Ranger Tugs R29 would an excellent consideration for the worst weather that Lake Winnipesaukee could throw at a boat. (And a good choice for fuel economy).

The displacement-type wake is a problem: Those accustomed to getting a friendly wave returned might experience a difference.



Myself, I'd choose a local "tug", made in Tilton. (Eastern Boat Co. News)
