I have been told that you hold your drivers license up on the tinted window and if you can read it, then its okay. I was in a friends car and he got stopped, and the cop made him put his license on the window.

I certainly understand this, How would you like to pull a car over with all the windows tinted, and you can't see the guy inside holding a 357.
