It is not slippery at all, actually quite the opposite.
Every boat will be priced differently because it is based on the design or pattern you choose as well as how big of an area you do.
It is a per sqaure foot charge based on those factors.
It is not cheap but if you plan on keeping the boat for a while and you want less fiberglass to clean, this is the way to go.
