Beautiful August morning that I spent in downtown Laconia. First, I walked part of the WOW trail, starting at the library. (By the way, anyone notice what a magnificent building that is, both the old and the new parts?) Then I had a coffee and a muffin at the bakery near the old hotel, found some interesting old books and CDs at the thrift store, and bought a recorder (the musical instrument) for my daughter at the music store. Best of all, I got to spend a few hours away from my wife and daughter.
