Everyone knows the govt subsidize corn production for ethanol. More and more farmers are switching to corn production as it is more profitable than growing food. That's why food is more expensive and it is a fast growing import.

We are taken as fools. We may become more independent of oil, but we are becoming more dependent on our food.
