Seriously though. I always use bottled water for drinking water anyway. So it was only for the tooth brushing and rinsing. We went out and bought an under the counter water filter for the sink, and ice maker, just as a preventative thing. I am going to install it tonight. Gotta love it.
I think you should write to the NH Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and tell them what you are going through with the quality of water that LRWC is suppling you. I would also tell them that your water is filtered through Balmoral's old rusty pipes before it gets to you.
If it's true that they want to increase what you are paying for water by 50% then everyone at your community needs to get involved.
IMHO anytime that a utility digs up their main supply line they should notify everyone to boil their water while this is going on. It is very easy to contaminate the water when they are being worked on.
