Rattlesnake Island is much taller than all the other islands and if you use this Land to Acre Conversion Calculator, it comes up with a certain number.
This doesn't seem to take into account the height of the land. Am I just confused?
RG, the acreage measurement is from the perspective of being measured as if you are looking straight down from space. Your son works for a surveyor and they use the computer to compensate for the difference between the theoretical horizontal dimensions and the real life terrain measurements. The cliff lot you have on Rattlesnake probably as an extra 20% surface area that does not count in the deed, map, selling price or tax bill.
