And, Meredith is a beautiful town. When you head up to house hunt, try out local spots(food/drink) to get e feel.....the bar at Lago, Lakehouse, Karen and Barry's Bristo, Camp, George's Diner, Dirty Gringo, Patrick's Pub, Canoe, The Mug.....

We are certainly going to have fine time dining out when we come up. I've been checking things out at the restaurant forum, but thanks for this great list.
As far as our boats go, this is the story. We have a 25ft sailboat that we've been using for the past five years in NJ. Between slip fees, storage and maintenance we've spent close to 40k. (shocker). When we move to the lakes region we're going to have a Sunfish (trailered) and a small pontoon boat that will also be trailered. No more slip fees or storage fees. (or valet) We plan on going to the smaller lakes in the region. I have great respect for Winnipesaukee and even Squam and Newfound. Those are big lakes with potentially big waves. Once we get up there we'll find out more about where we can go and the best pontoon size. (we won't have a lot of $$ for the pontoon so we're going used).
