The new Alton-based
Baysider goes to press......
ALTON — A new weekly newspaper dedicated to the residents of Alton, Barnstead and New Durham will debut next Thursday, April 7.
This newspaper will be published by Salmon Press. This is the same organization that is now charging an exorbitant yearly fee to view the Granite State News (The Grunter from Wolfeboro) on line. $34 if I am not mistaken.
The Salmon Press also publishes the following New Hampshire newspapers;

"MAIN STREET" are just a little worried about what the implications of this new publication may mean for them. I hope people continue to support
"MAIN STREET" as it is truly locally produced and I think they do a fine job considering it is a totally volunteer nonprofit effort.
